pelican pub

The pelican pub offer hospitality. They cater for parties and private booking. Also they cook meals every day till a certain time. They have a big function room were they hold parties and weddings and they decorate the room to the colour and what you want the room to look like. Also they do wakes and funerals. The function room is big and has plenty. Most bank holiday weekends the pelican hire a bouncy castle and bouncy slide and then they do a bbq and sell them quite cheap.    

berry tasty

Berry tasty is a little café on Brace Bridge drive it serves small and big breakfasts and also bacon and sausage cobs. Also to make extra money they make cakes for special occasions such as wedding birthday and christenings. Also she caters for parties. They also do dinner time menu for 11 till 3. Berry tasty is a small café with a welcoming but classic feel to it.    

nottingham castle

Nottingham castle does offer some sighs of hospitality the castle has a decent sized café that serves cakes, sandwiches, and tea coffee and cold drinks and ice creams. The castle has nice views around it and it is a good place for families and old people to go for a look around the grounds then to the café for a drink or a picnic, Nottingham castle as so make money on the side by selling novelty gifts such as bows and arrows and robin hood outfits. I think Nottingham castle would be a good place to have a party because it has a massive field to put your marquee and enough space to have a big bbq and also a small beer tent. Another good thing Nottingham castle do to make money is they sell copies of all there paintings that are in there museum. I think the target audience for Nottingham castle is old people.  

frankie and bennys

Frankie and Benny’s is an Italian restaurant that we visited last week with school it serves a wide range of food. It is a place were you can go either to have a drink and a chat with friends or a place were you can have a meal and a drink. If you are sat at the bar you don’t even need a menu because they have a back display that shows you all the wines and bottled beer and the pumps are also in front of you. Frankie and Bennys is a welcoming and good place to and eat in the restaurant there are loads of pictures and red green and white balloons to represent the Italian flag. Also Frankie and Bennys make money on the side by selling t shirts and cds  also when you by a CD there is a £10 voucher in there for a bottle of wine also Frankie and bennys do a voucher book when you leave so you get discount when you next go to there restaurant. Frankie and Bennys also do family parties and they give away colouring books and crayons with all there kid’s meals.    

Nottingham University Samworth Academy

Nottingham University Samworth academy offers a wide variety of foods such as pizza, pasta, salads, and a main and a pudding also they serve sandwiches and they also do meal deals. Nottingham university samworth academy soul purpose isn’t   selling food to make a profit its soul purpose is a school and because it’s a school by providing meals to feed the kids in there massive dinning area. But as it’s a school irjen the chef does a different menu everyday where as a restaurant has the same menu every day but will have some specials. Also Nusa does have any other way off making money on the side the money they make form there dinners they either buy more food or put it back in to the school budget.  

chocolate

                                               on tuesday 6th of  i made chocolate tart to practice for our governors event we made it with dark chocolate and sugar, butter and 5 eggs that was for the chocolate filling and butter and flour and vinila for the pastry
i think my tart went well but it was better cold tbh because it was nice and it wasnt to bitter and it was better cold.
the bad thing about my tart was it was in the oven to long and it split in the middle.

yule log

on the 14th of december i made a yule log the chef made the cake  all we did was mix up cream and iceing sugar and the spread it over the cake and then added berries and rolled in to a log the topped with choclate iceing and sprinkled iceing sugar over the top.
