millers barn

Miller’s barn is a big restaurant and b and b in one so miller’s barn cater for all them who stay over night and give them breakfast. Also they make sandwiches for the conference centre that they also have on campus. It is easy to get to millers barn either by car, tram, walk or bus. The hotel and the conference centre is another way that miller’s barn brings in money by providing all the conferences with tea cakes sandwiches and tea or coffee. Millers barn also have three menus one for break fast one for light bite at lunch and the big menus at dinner time. The restaurant has two floors and a bar for clients to have meeting and sit and have a drink or have a business lunch over a meal and a drink.

asda cafe

Asda café is a small café that is connected to a supermarket so all there food they sell in there café is from Asda. The café has about 50 tables in it so it’s a decent size and the decoration and layout is good because there is room for people’s trolleys and still room for people to pass. Asda has a café so when people finish shopping they can either have there breakfast or just a piece of cake and a cup of tea, Asda caters for kid’s adults and for old people. They do kiddies meals for kid’s main meals and puddings for adults and old people. Also Asda do parties but to be honesties who would want a party in a supermarket .

Flaming dragon

Flaming dragon is a Chinese restaurant that serves 50 dish buffet and dinner time and a 75 dish buffet at tea time and it is around £7.50 for all you can eat buffet. Also at flaming dragon they do deals were you get a drink and a take away box so they even let you take it away when you have had enough the restaurant is quite a big restaurant and is decorated in the Chinese theme and they put on classical music to set a nice felling why you eat. Flaming  dragon don’t  do anything to make money on the side they just sell food and drink to make a profit.  

subway

subway is part of the hopatality because it makes a profit on the food they sell each and every day .

Subway serves loads of different types and styles of sandwiches such as turkey and ham and just ham. Subway is unique there is no other restaurant like it. It is unique because you can walk in and pick what ever meat you want on it then you pick what salad and dressing or sauce you want on it. Most of the subways are small so there is not that much space to sit down and eat so this target market is for any age but some older people might not go there because of the lack of seating. The other way subway makes money is selling cookies crisps and nachos. Also another good thing subway do is a loyalty card and every time you buy a sandwich you get some points added to your card till you have enough to get your free sub when you have enough points.   

toby carvery

The Toby carvery is different to most restaurants because they only have one thing on there menu because the only thing they serve is meats and vegetables and gravy. The Toby carvery is a nice a welcoming restaurant that only income is there meals and drinks they don’t l anything else to make extra money. The Toby carvery is a big branch and they have them all over England and all the restaurants will be different in the way they are dressed in side and the way they are outside .

pelican pub

The pelican pub offer hospitality. They cater for parties and private booking. Also they cook meals every day till a certain time. They have a big function room were they hold parties and weddings and they decorate the room to the colour and what you want the room to look like. Also they do wakes and funerals. The function room is big and has plenty. Most bank holiday weekends the pelican hire a bouncy castle and bouncy slide and then they do a bbq and sell them quite cheap.    

berry tasty

Berry tasty is a little café on Brace Bridge drive it serves small and big breakfasts and also bacon and sausage cobs. Also to make extra money they make cakes for special occasions such as wedding birthday and christenings. Also she caters for parties. They also do dinner time menu for 11 till 3. Berry tasty is a small café with a welcoming but classic feel to it.    

nottingham castle

Nottingham castle does offer some sighs of hospitality the castle has a decent sized café that serves cakes, sandwiches, and tea coffee and cold drinks and ice creams. The castle has nice views around it and it is a good place for families and old people to go for a look around the grounds then to the café for a drink or a picnic, Nottingham castle as so make money on the side by selling novelty gifts such as bows and arrows and robin hood outfits. I think Nottingham castle would be a good place to have a party because it has a massive field to put your marquee and enough space to have a big bbq and also a small beer tent. Another good thing Nottingham castle do to make money is they sell copies of all there paintings that are in there museum. I think the target audience for Nottingham castle is old people.  

frankie and bennys

Frankie and Benny’s is an Italian restaurant that we visited last week with school it serves a wide range of food. It is a place were you can go either to have a drink and a chat with friends or a place were you can have a meal and a drink. If you are sat at the bar you don’t even need a menu because they have a back display that shows you all the wines and bottled beer and the pumps are also in front of you. Frankie and Bennys is a welcoming and good place to and eat in the restaurant there are loads of pictures and red green and white balloons to represent the Italian flag. Also Frankie and Bennys make money on the side by selling t shirts and cds  also when you by a CD there is a £10 voucher in there for a bottle of wine also Frankie and bennys do a voucher book when you leave so you get discount when you next go to there restaurant. Frankie and Bennys also do family parties and they give away colouring books and crayons with all there kid’s meals.    

Nottingham University Samworth Academy

Nottingham University Samworth academy offers a wide variety of foods such as pizza, pasta, salads, and a main and a pudding also they serve sandwiches and they also do meal deals. Nottingham university samworth academy soul purpose isn’t   selling food to make a profit its soul purpose is a school and because it’s a school by providing meals to feed the kids in there massive dinning area. But as it’s a school irjen the chef does a different menu everyday where as a restaurant has the same menu every day but will have some specials. Also Nusa does have any other way off making money on the side the money they make form there dinners they either buy more food or put it back in to the school budget.
